  • How many CE hours do I need to renew my TNS license?

    TNSs opting to renew by CE must accrue a minimum of 64 hours of trauma related activities every 4 years.

  • What will I do if I didn’t get a notice from IDPH and it has been over 10 working days since TNSCC document submission, excluding holidays?

    Your TNS license is no longer valid. Your options to regain licensure are to Challenge the exams or retake the course. Contact your TNSCC.

  • How do I change my name or my address for my license?

    For address change, you must go online on this IDPH website or copy the link below and paste it on your browser.

    For name changes, this must be processed with the IDPH EMS Division directly by contacting them at (217)785-2080. Submit copies of acceptable legal documents that verify the name change.

  • My name is changing soon. Which name do I submit for licensure?
    Submit the name that you will be using when the license arrives. Then change your surname when that reality occurs: Requires contact and verification documents. Contact IDPH @ (217)785-2080 or send an email to DPH.EMTLIC@illinois.gov asking for direction.
  • What will I do if I lost my PIN for license renewal?

    Contact/email your closest TNS Course Coordinator asking for assistance. They can reach out to IDPH and determine if a transposition error or some other rare variant has occurred.
